We realize that “family photography” is a broad term. We’re often asked what is included under that umbrella. We decided to break down what family photography is, what sessions we include and how “family” isn’t a uniform meaning. We know that family is not a “one size fits all” term and we’re here to break down the norms.

What is family photography? If you Google “what is family photography”, you’ll see that one of the first items that pops up is a blurb about how family photography is capturing a group of people that have family ties. At the bri creative, family has another meaning. A family is a group of people that have family ties. A family is a group of people who have no family ties. A family is two people in love. A family is two people with a platonic love. A family is you and your furbaby. A family is.. so much more than being connected by genes.

If you’re looking to update your family photos, our sessions include:

  • Couples
  • Proposals/Engagements
  • Small weddings
  • Maternity
  • Newborn
  • Furbabies
  • Children
  • Generational
  • Family {parents + children}
  • Friends

If you’re not sure if your session will fall under any of these subcategories, please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss your questions.

We’re here to celebrate every kind of family. Whether it’s a session with your best girls or guys, your best friend, your fur-baby, your siblings, someone who became family, your adopted family - we’re ready to capture you. Family is not a one size fits all and we’re happy to document your memories.
