Happy Valentine’s Day!

Since today is all about love, I’m going to talk about the number one love in my life: photography.

Photography is one of the reasons why the bri creative exists. As I’ve mentioned in past blog posts, photography is my biggest passion. I was always that person who always had a camera on them. Oh, we’re going on a trip? I’ll take pictures. Oh, you want to document this event? I gotchu. You want me to take a quick picture? You got it. I could go on and on with more examples, but you get it.

Besides being able to work with my amazing clients, what I love about photography is being able to capture my view of the world. Oftentimes, as I am walking, I see an amazing view and have to take a photo of it. Thank goodness for smartphones with great cameras when you're on the go and don't have a DSLR. You're the real MVP of every photographer's life.

They say art has a different meaning for everyone which is absolutely true. Just because I snap a photo of something I find beautiful, someone may look at the print and find meaning. For example, at a show, I had a print of a doorway with shadows and light. This girl came by and wanted to buy the photo because her friend’s dad had recently passed away and the picture composition showed the dark {shadows} times, but then that everything would turn out okay {light + door}. As someone who wasn't grieving at the time, I never would have thought of that. Then to hear that your work might offer comfort to someone was a big wow moment for me. You never know how your work might affect someone!

One of my goals with my photography is to be able to inspire people through my work. There is too much darkness in the world and I want to spread some light with my work.
