La Fiesta is {in my opinion} the best place to get Mexican food in Hanford. It’s a staple in our family and other places don’t compare.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been quite sluggish with my blog this year. I’ve been to La Fiesta a few times, so I’m combining those meals into this post. I’m a creature of habit, so I’ll only be talking about two dishes - which are my go-to's.

Chimichanga | A chimichanga is one of my favorite dishes to order at a Mexican restaurant. I was very sad when I would go to a Mexican restaurant in Boston to discover there wasn’t a chimichanga on the menu. What’s worse, most people didn’t even know what it was! A burrito, deep-fried and 1000% of deliciousness for your taste buds. I had the ground beef chimichanga, which also includes cheese and pico de gallo in the burrito. I didn’t realize pico de gallo was in the mixture and didn’t ask for it to be removed beforehand {tomatoes, blech!}. Regardless, it was still a great burrito. It comes with salad on the side but I asked for a side of beans as well because beans is always a good pairing with a burrito.

Chicken Tostada | If I’m not ordering a chimichanga, I’m ordering a chicken tostada. Be warned - it’s massive. Actually, anything you order here is massive. I can never finish any of my meals and always ask for a box at the end. Whenever I order the chicken tostada, I make sure to ask for it without lettuce and tomatoes because your tostada will be buried under a mound of lettuce and tomatoes. All I really want is the chicken, cheese, beans, and tortilla! Without the lettuce and tomato, the meal is huge - chicken, beans, and cheese make up the whole entire plate with the fried tortilla {regular sized tortilla} under the toppings. It’s amazing, don’t get me wrong.

Special Mention | My mom loves the chile relleno. She gets it every time she goes to La Fiesta.
